The HERstory of Kappa Chi Sigma Chapter

The birth of the Kappa Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated began with the vision of Soror Tahir Thomas Kinsey, who saw a great need and ample opportunity for Sigma Gamma Rho to serve the communities of Montgomery County, PA. She shared the idea with several enthusiastic sorors, who also identified the need and desired to work together to bring Sigma to this area. With the guidance and assistance of Northeast Region Area VI Coordinator Dale Mason and Northeast Region Syntaktes Deborah Walsh, the dedicated and excited group of sorors were able to bring the vision to fruition.

On Saturday, October 25th, 2008, the Kappa Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was chartered to serve Montgomery County, PA.

The seven devoted charter members of Kappa Chi Sigma Chapter are:
